hid question i want to know what number k is super white?
i want to purchase some hids for my eg but i want to know is if i want white what number should i get cause i dont want to make the mistake and get the ones that look blue i just want plain white what number k should i get thanks
well thats not 100 percent true as long as you have plug and play oem fit than no but if you are hacking up some TL ones that dont sit properly than yes it will sit wrong and melt the light.
also they shouldn't melt your housing's....most every headlight is made of plastic these days,
yea cause i have te 8000k with plastic headlights thier blue and i never melted anything but the lower the number the whiter and brighter they are the higher the number the bluer until you hit 12000k then thier purple

I have 4800k in my EK and they are WHITE! Real nice, I didn't want to get the ricer blue like everyone else in my city has. I'm also gonna be putting some OEM yellow fogs in here before too long, they're just sitting in my garage...
Yeah but 3000k will give you yellow...look on ebay at the HID kits, most of the sellers have an image of the differen Kelvin levels with the corresponding color, so it's easy to pick out which ones you want...
my buddy had an 08 altima with 4000k and it was super white! I personally have 6000k which is mostly white with just a slight hint of blue, I love it!
Basically it goes kind of like this
Below 4000k = starting to get yellow
4000k = very white
6000k = mostly white with little blue
8000k = starting to very blue, very noticeable
10000k = very very strong blue, way too noticeable
12000k = starting to get purple
here is my civic with 6k

4300k are white
6000k are crystal white, little, just little bit to blue
8000k are blue
10000 blue
12000 purple
i recommend 4300k or 6000k, 6000k i like better, but visibility is 5% worse than 4300k
