......the CHEAPEST way to lower your car would be getting a hacksaw and cutting some coils off your stock springs.....also the most painfull ride....next to that are ebay coilovers..... they are a boucny ride..... don't get me wrong..... I started to first with cutting my springs..... felt like every bump....the dash was smashing or about to fall off... ebay.....if I went over a bump or dip in the road......my foot would start bobbling the gas pedal.....looked like I was started to learn how to drive...lol. I have skunk 2 lowering springs on my bubble.... little bit stiffer than stock.....but better than ebay or cut springs..... my girls 4 door has tein s.techs........I personallly think they are as close to stock in ride quality with a nice drop..... doesn't hit anything.... skunk2s don't hit anything either......I would say go for teins....unless u don't mind a little stiffer ride and more dropped look go for sk2....u WONT regret teins.
cheapest way is to cut the coils using a grinder. not so cheap way is to get a good set of lowering springs. neuspeed race, tanabe nf210/df210, h&R, sheepdog, tein s.tech..
performance wise but a lil pricey, go with coilovers so that you can adjust the height and dampening. try tein SS/flex, ground control, etc..
