Default Lightweight Crank(Under Drive) Pully, Bad or Good?

i have a question, has anybody had any problem with a racing pully on their engine? I have heard that billit pullys dont balance out your crankshaft, because it is a harmonic balancer, do these do your engine bad or good?, let me know what you think

I have a D15B2 with over 189k miles, and that engine came stock without a harmonic dampener. Just a solid steel crank pulley. Now my D16Y8 does have a harmonic dampener in the crankshaft pulley, and I won't switch to an unorthodox racing pulley or any other aftermarket pulley even if someone paid me to. I say unless you have balanced the rotating assembly in the engine, run a stock pulley.

not good to take weight off the crank snout. Tends to make the oil pump and main bearings get mad

Well if the motor has alot of miles and you change to a lightweight pulley it'll work but it'll put alot of stress on the oil pump and bearing which will shorten your motor's life...

Now if it's a fresh rebuild new oil pump and main bearings and you put the light weight pulley on then you should be ok it'll all balance out...

HIGH mileage motors dont like the light weight pulleys...

I've had an Unorthodox on my zc for several years now without issue. I'll continue to think that everyone else is a bunch of nervous nellies, at least up until the time my engine blows up.
