Can`t Figure Out Blower motor Problem
Ever since I bought my 98 coupe I have been having issues with the blower no matter what the combination is (heat, A/C, recirc, outside whatever) when I turn the fan on to 1, 2, or 3 it dosent blow but when I turn it to 4 it blows at full blast. So far i have replaced the blower speed switch ( where you choose from 1, 2, 3, 4) and the blower motor. What else is there to replace? Has anyone had this problem before?
there is a blower control resistor. it is not uncommon.
usually when it craps the bed, you loose the 1-2-3 and only works full bore.

The resistor is $20.71 + shipping/handling at majestic honda. The handling is usually $5 and shipping $15 so you're better off ordering more stuff at once or getting the resistor off a junk.

all you need to do is set your test light lead on power, backprobe the ground wire on the blower motor and see if the resistance changes when you mess with the blower speed ****. obviously the light will dim and get brighter or nothing, then you know the resistor is bad.
Yeah, it is a simple fix. The blower motor resistor pack is partially blown. The pack itself is rather unexpensive and is easily replaced. Look behind the glove box and it's basically plug and play. This is a very common problem.
heres a diy fix for you with pics.
