Hey guys thanks for any help. Ok so this is for my buddys H22 swap into a 2000 civic si. The car has two marjor problems, One has to do with the motor and other has to do with electrical. So this is just a back ground on the car before I get started. He bought the car about 4 years ago (just the shell) then He bought a 95 prelude H22 that was rolled. Then he got a Si wriring and that H22 wiring and sent it to HAsport and got there obd2 to obd1 converter and is using the stock h22 ecu. So he got it all instaled and started the car. It ran good just had too problems, one the RPM on the spedo was jumping around usaly after he hit 3000rpm (just his spedo was juming didnt do anything with the h22s motor RPM). And the other problem was after he drove the car for a while (hitting vtec and everything) about 20-30 mins. The ecu would go into limp mode (wouldent go past 3500 RPM). So He changed some stuff, KS, distrbeder, spark plugs and spark plug wires. But the problem is still there. Well so he gave up on it for a while and then he changed Intake manifold (for another stock one with all stock stuff from it) And now the car dose not start, cranks and sometimes almost starts but dosent. But i think it dont start because of mabe one of thows fuel injectors are bad. (ill try to take care of that tommarow and see what happends). But the wired part is the electrical, after it stood for a while (year or soo, most of time in garage). Well the interier and exterier electrical is very weird, If you put the key on 2nd postion and turn hazered lights on the spedo lights go very dim (like the cheak ingeni like and the srs light ext...) or If you take key out and flip on the lights they dont turn on but the spedo lights turn on and ecu turns on (I had my hondata S300 hooked up to see CEL codes) But this electrical problem only started after car sat for a while, So do you guys know if its some relay thats causing this? I cheaked all fuses and the are all good. I cant bleave he was/ still is fixing this car for 4+ years. so any help would be greatly appriciated, Some cel codes I got out of it on my hondata S300 while cranking car was, ELD (electrical load detecter) TMP, KS. If anyone has any idea of whats wroung please let me know. thank you all. (Im allways in the prelude part of this fourm but my buddy really needs help and dose not have internet access.)

you can do a quick check by putting your finger on the injectors to feel if they or working(will feel like a strong clicking), it will just clicke in sequence with the others. are you getting any Check Engine Light? if you are just look up the code and you should be able to narrow it down to something,gimp mode can be caused by a bad o2 sensor,a bad knock sensor, bad tps sensor,etc. just check the codes though. VERY rarely will a car not start and not throw a code, that is if everything is connected correctly.

 

the CEL codes are ELD (electrical load detecter) TMP, KS, What I really need help with is the electrical its all weird, is there a relay that can cause that?
