Default off season, share some early memories: 96 GS nationals VID:

i got my start back in late 95 with the purchase of my 87 buick t type because of this car: the vid sucks because i cant figure out how to get VHS he hee i said it VHS on to my computer so live with it.
this is lawrence conley's car Tweaked at the 96 GS Nationals in bowling green kentucky.

the t type was 100% box stock, when i was done with it, it had 36lb hr blue tops, te32e precision turbo, bosch 3 bar adj reg, action fab fender dump, modern muscle pump, and chip.

all basic stuff.

after the nats, i put a waterbox on the intercooler, and did a trans shift improver. best i got out of ot was an 11.81 @ 117. aint that crazy low mph. the car best 60' was a 1.50 small turbo and a stock converter, thats the best she launched.

Damn. STock converter? that was 11 years ago? Didnt know you were a fellow Buick guy? I think I may remember but maybe lost count.

Always loved the GN's...Funny how you can take a stock 20 year old car with a couple bolt ons and go 11's....to bad they coast as much now as they did 20 years ago

never had a linelock on mine. we did use monte ss aluminum drums though.

I just don't want to burn anything up. It's not worth the risk and I can heat up the tires easier with a lock.
