I cleaned up the wiring harness to the DASH and IGNITION cause the douche bag before me wanted EVERYTHING to turn on with a switch...so i sodered the wires point to point and shrink wraped them..now this is the problem and im baffled

1. dash light wont turn on
2. turn signals wont turn on
3. tach doesnt work so neither does the vtech
4. engine light stays on and only goes dim when car is off
5. engine light gets bright when turn signals are being used
6. battery light goes on when headlights are on

guess whats wrong and ill let you know if your right on tuesday, my guesses will be posted tomarow and there some good ones but ill let mp autosports deal with this one

take that ****ing loom off and show a better picture of the problems you created.

shrink wrapping and looming it so it looks pretty will only make it harder to diagnose

 

the loom was put on after the initial solder and shrink wrap, thinking the wire used to lengthen it could have been bad...now open your fuking eyes and read the post .. i said the douch bag that owned the car before me wanted everything to run on a switch therefore he spliced a few wires and ran it to a switch then back, i simply cut the wires and ran them point to point....

you dont need to see the harness that clearly, what would you tell me that a blue wire is touching an orange wire???? i would be able to tell, now try going from the symptoms of the problem not the looks,

now please go sit on the douche bag bench with that dude who had the car before me, cause your just as use full as an extra switch that turns the ignition on..nice guess

and yes, people DO need to see the harness without the loom, more clearly, because obviously you effed something up and your pea brain can't realize what it is.

 

Ya know, if you are looking for any type of help at all with this, which I sure hope considering this is a tech forum, not a guessing game, I wouldn't be such a ***** to someone who is trying to help. Why even post the pictures then if you "know" your wiring is correct?Escpecially an exterior shot, like that helps? If it was correct, you wouldnt have these issues. I hope you get raped with double fists on what they charge to fix this for you, since your such an *******.

so the pic was to show the wiring harness and wow did everyone not get what they wanted for christmas .lol fukin chill out and the green wire is connected to the green wire with the loom its not crossed...

thanks guys... this is for all of you to show what symptoms happen when **** is fuked up thats why im taking it to the shop and geting it diagnosed.

as for that douche bag, if he wasnt such an piece of **** he might have friends that own shops and would give him a discount as in my case probably FREE and im deffinetly not stressin about some $$$$... i can tell hes been fuked left and right with that piece of **** hes driving

i wasn't fortunate enough to see the pictures. but a wiring fcukup has got to be the most tedious, frustrating problem to solve on a car. if you get this fixed for free, you can either give great head, or cook a mean lasagna.

to make this post halfway helpful....go back under the loom/shrinkwrappage and check that all the wires you connected are EXACTLY the same. so many of them appear the same at first glance, but instead of *dot dot dot* they have *dot stripe dot* and they're the same color. or they're BARELY a larger gauge wire..... it could be some silly crap like that.

EDIT: and to help yourself out in the future, don't bypass any plugs either. i've done that before when wiring and wanted to kick my own @ss later when i had to replace that part.

 

You need to download a factory manual and start learning or be prepared to lose a lot of money!
