jacked up ignition switch
Here is my problem, i have been working on my 94 civic over at my buddies house. He decided to move it one day. Instead of getting the key that i left in the ash tray he busted my ignition. I can not seem to put it back together and get it to work right. My question is is it easier to get another ignition switch or just put a push button start on it?
If damage is limited to the key cylinder itself all you need to do is replace the cylinder, not the whole ign. switch/cylinder housing.
If the housing was also damaged then yes, you will need to dremel/drill out the sheer bolts, [rivets].
Hint, if you go to a bone yard for a new ign. switch housing assembly, [with key] don't forget to get the door key cylinders also, [so you need only carry one key].
Feel free to PM me if you have questions. 94
