they have the same basic drivetrain as the third generation usdm supra (7mgte) so they have plenty of potential for big power so yes they can be fast
i see these at the car lots here (japan) for 1900-2100 USD automatic TT, the manual ones are extremely hard to find. theres one even older than that that Tokita (goodyear crown) in D1 used to drift, the MZ12 chassis. impossible to get parts for. a bit of a jdm bastard child.
