Default D16y7/y8 minime

I got a 99 cx, but I already did the y8 automatic intake manifold swap. I'm wondering if I could use the is manifold still and not have to worry about changing the clip for the iacv. Also if I find a head off a 96-98 EX, would I be able just to run my 99 cx's distributor?

the three wire IACV can not be used with the manual Ex ECU. any 96 -2000 Y8 head with the appropriate wiring for vtec should be able to work with a the corresponding ecu aswell.

I have not done the mini-me swap swap so i am not 100% on the vtec wiring. But i have done the auto to man. trans swap on my 00 Ex and all you need is the two wire electrical connector and IACV and to drill the holes in the correct spot for it and a man. TB, that does not have the IACV underneath.
