Default Civic interior removal

How do I remove the plastic interior quarter panel? I'm worried I will break it

Yeah I hate that panel. Not only can you break the panel but the panel can break your hands!

Make sure you remove all the screws by the rear seats before attempting to pull the side nearest the door.

For a coupe?

I believe I had to remove the rear seat first. I don't remember if there was anything else to remove.

Once you remove the seat and twist the seatbelt out of the way you should be able to get your hands behind it.

I can't remember any screws, but there were some clips to pry out and then there are more clips on the backside of the panel. Make sure they're back in place on the back of the panel before you put the panel back on.

Well I kinda started to take out the seat but the middle section acts like something is holding it down. I didn't see a screw or anything though

Just give it a nice tug. it will usually pop right off without any trouble. The tops are a bitch though. its hard to get those 1/4 glass trim out without breaking them

I think I ended up loosening a bracket on one of the seats to remove them both.

There aren't any screws and you do NOT want to pry from the front of the panel nearest the door. The panel bends around the door frame.

The panel goes behind the seat and if you look where the top half of the seat folds down, you'll see the panel has a hole in it for the seat hinge. You HAVE to remove the top section of the seats to remove the quarter panel trim. You'll want to remove the lower section of the seat at least for installation of the panel.

But the lower seat section just pulls up with a good tug?
