Striped LCA bolt
are you going with aftermarket control arms if so just take a angle grinder and cut the bolt on both side of the arm and heat the bolt up on the side thats has the threads one the shock and back it out with vice grips had to do it before
That bolt is the biggest PITA evar. I ended up using a grinder to just cut both sides of the shock mount and replaced everything with aftermarket. Make sure you really grease that bolt when you put it back in so it doesn't happen again!
oh wait the shock bolt comes right out. It's the one that connects the lca to the trailing arm that's being a ****!
I gathered up some air cools and im gonna go at it again in the morning.

awesome news. I barrowed this Craftsmen stripped head remover set from a friend. Hammered it on and the bolt came right out. Very recommend this set.
well you could find a bigger nut and weld it on the bolt, then heat up the other side a little with a torch and twist it off while the outer metal is warm.
(heat expands metal)

heat will not work because it will melt the rubber bushing, and then the metal sleeve inside the bushing will just turn the bolt, that's usually the part that seized.
use the special socket for striped heads, with an impact wrench if you can. you might end up breaking the bolt head off. in that case, cut the nut off which is probably welded on, then remove the LCA and use a punch to remove the bolt or drill it out. i have broke several of these bolts off before.
