Default Whining noise and power loss/gas loss

I have a 95 civic with a whining noise driver side The more rpm i put on it the louder it gets. Also there seems to be a power loss. It started making the whinining noise then about 2 hours later I felt the power loss. Gas is also going down very fast.

sounds like maybe your tranny is slipping. cant think of any other reason your car would whine and lose power

tranny is good I know this because first the noise is on my drivers side you can tell its coming from the engine not tranny side. second it still gives you that jerk when im shifting. There is at least 50-60% power always. but at high rpm there is 60-70% its seems like it has to rev up really high to make power and its still never making 100% power.

most likely any whining noise is 90% of the time the alternator slowly going up especially if its stock to that car and with your gas going down faster when was the last time you did a full tune up new spark plugs cap rotor and especially fuel filter cause if your getting back up in the fuel filter it cause the fuel pump to work harder and tou lose gas milage also a clogged or dirty air filter also robs gas milage. so it might actually be 2 diff. problems and the whining just cause you to notice more things in your car now that your actually looking for something to go wrong. to find where the problem is take a long socket extention and touch it to diff. parts of the motor (none that move) lol when the car is on and put your ear to the extention it will let you clearly hear the diff. and any small noise will stand out. hope i helped
