Default 100,000 mile inspection?

So yeah. I am young still young. But as a child I used to hear that at 100,000 miles the car needs to go through the special inspection. I was wondering if that is still true for cars and specifically for the accord Ex and or is it optional.
DO i just bring it in and ask for the 100,000 mile inspection. I am sure they will give me 'recommendations" to gain some service. Just want to know the right ones.

I just got an oil change at the dealer for the first time since I was getting my key (see other post lol) and it costs the same at other places and they actually do more. I was happily surprised to see that my next oil change was due in 5,000 and not the 3,000 miles as others recommend. Do you think it is because Honda's oil was a little more refined. Or is that the norm now. I know cars are being built better every year.

WIth that said back to my inspection question. Are these thing still the same. If I did it at 100,000 miles.

major service for your car is due at 105k. you should have at a 90k as well where the air filters were replaced, trans fluid changed, oil changed, tires rotated, and everything checked over. at 105k they change the oil, rotate tires, replace spark plugs and should adjust the valves. be careful on the high mileage k24 accords, the 03 and 04's have a tendency for know timing chain stretch for some reason. might want to look into having that checked out, better to be safe, then have to spend a few thousand dollars on a new motor. i know chains are supposed to last forever but i've seen quite a few hondas have problems with chain tensioners and the links stretching.

Okay. So I should probably split those things now since it would cost too much all at once. I will probably doe transmission and filters at next oil change. 95,000 miles and then go from there. THanks.

how critical is the spark plug change at 105K ? can it wait awhile longer?

If 10 is ASAP, and 1 is when you get a chance or the $$, I would rank spark plugs to be about a 6. Sure, an old plug may be worn, affects power and MPG, etc, etc.

I would worry that it would failed, and cause the engine to misfire. A misfired engine will not burn the fuel completely and cause damage to the cat. That's where it can be expensive.
