Motor is finally in but the valvetrain sounds loose. I am running vitara 75.5mm pistons with zex 59300 cam, and full supertech valvetrain. All adjustments have been made to spec including the valve lash but it just seems loud as hell like something is loose. I just have no clue since I have had everything checked over and over again. Here is a video to kinda help. It was taken on a cellphone so the quailty isnt that great.

 

Whose spec. did you set valve lash to? Honda or Zex?

what was your p2w clearance, what does zex reccomend .007/.009?

 

I dont kow the piston to wall clearance. Since I had a import shop do it. But as for he valve lash that would be correct.

 

is that cam a really high lift cam at idle? it almost sounds like a common honda with a hollow valvetrain noise with a high lift @ idle cam.

also have you let the engine warm up completely and drive it around? does the noise change?

 

I haven't chanced it driving it around. I just don't want anything to break while driving it.
