it isn't optimal, but it won't hurt anything.

If you want it to run well, you should get a p28 or equivalent ecu and hook up vtec, the 4wire o2, and get a z6 distributor, and you will notice a big difference..

the TD-02u distributor is the stock 88-91 si distributor from a D16A6 (1.6L non vtec) motor. yes you will need a jumper harness to plug the P28 ecu in, and for an obd1 D16Z6 head the correct distributor to use will be a TD-42U you will also need to re-pin your current engine harness to plug into the new distributor.

I didnt think the A6 dist. would fit on the Z6 head right...as in the adjustment is way off and you need to cut one of the mounting "ears"?

yeah the obdo dist needs to be modded.

just so there is no confusion, you need a obd0-obd1 jumper, a p28 ecu for manual trans prefferably, the z6 dist, 4 wire o2, heres the link for the dist wiring you will have to repin:https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/obd0-obd1-distributor-wiring-1349052/ , and that should be all..
