help 1988 crx engine d16a8
hi i know its a d16a8 engine but the thing is that my dizzy cap 5 ht leads but when i go to get a new dizzy cap its coming up with 4 ht leads and also i the vacum sistom is in a box in stead of on the bulkhead iv also got the oil and water cooler on the back of the block

wow intersting.....im guessing by 5 leads you mean one is for an external coil? and im not familiar with the d16a8, im assuming your in europe and this is similar to the d16a1 found in the tegs, if so may i suggest swapping the entire dist over, if the fifth is for external coil maybe the new one will be internal....agaim im just guesing at your problem....
Woah. I think you'd better double check the engine number on that block. Because that dizzy is not from a D16A8 (it looks like something off a D15B4)
Also, the inlet manifold is too short, and looks a lot like the one's found on the older brown-top ZC's ala 1st gen CRX (which are NOT D16A8's).

with the valve cover bolts, vacuum advance distributor (which has external coil), shape of the cylinder sensor, shape of the intake manifold, the engine looks to me like it is the same as the 86-87 Integra D16A1 - this is 87 Integra D16A1:
