I have a bare b18b bare block and crank with main caps, oil pick up, baffle etc. but I am missing some of the bolts. mainly some of the longer bolts that hold down the caps. if I buy a complete b16 swap to help make an ls/vtec out of this motor, can I use the bolts from the b16? to my knowledge it should all be the same.

 

If you are referring to the main caps, then no, you cannot use the B16 ones. The reason why is because the B16 uses a main girdle which makes the required bolt length that much longer than a motor (B18b) without a main girdle.

I hope this helps. I am pretty darned sure that i'm right. If I am not, then that would surprise the heck out of me.

Boostage, just buy the bolts you're missing new from Honda. They're not that expensive.
