What kind of car are you talking about...Suv? Honda/Acura. on a H/A your not going to be able to stick it under the back seat, you wont have enough clearance due to the padding on the rear seat. 1) most H/A have the gas tank mounted down there 2) it will heat up and thermal. Bad idea. Get a slim amp like a Crossfire and bolt it to the floorboard under the pass or driver set.

not a good idea to mound underneath your front seats..... if you spill a drink, sheeeit!!! thats gunna be a wasted amp, a good spot is on the back side of the back seats, or even on teh back of the box. if you dont wanna keep it for show..

Good point there, but if you have a show car, you wont be drinking and spilling anyways. If you do, your not serious about your show car. In a simple system I would perfer the backside of the back seat, but considering theft purposes, its a bad idea. On the box is extremely a bad idea, thinking that they can cut all your wires and steal your subs and your amp at the same time. No thanks!

I use a bungee cord, works fine for me. I have it up against the back of my car.

If you have a 2 door/hatch, you can remove the side panels and mount the amps in there using some brackets. My buddy did this in his Integra... one amp in each side panel around where the rear speakers once sat. The only thing that sucks is that you have to adjust everything before you put the car back together. His subwoofers sit in his spare tire well. You open the trunk and it's like, "What stereo?" There is nothing for the theif to look at.
