hey HT members ****en cops raided my house because they said that iv been stealing cars and they seen under my hood and i have a OB1 JDM b16a Motor that i bought from some guy on craigslist in Fresno County with out paper work. I got lock up for this and they tow my car and now there trying to say that the long block is stolen too! beacuse it is a JDM motor with out vin. soo i got locked up as a misdemeanor for haveing a tranny without a vin and my bail ammount is 150 and got bail the next day, there trying to pin the long block (b16a) as a stolen motor beacuse it doesnt have a vin also witch is going to be a felon and imma get time for that because theres no way i can prove that i didnt steal it.


Soo HT members plz help me buy givein me any info on where i can find a site where it can prove that the b16a motor and tranny doesn't come with a metal plate vin

wat i noe is that the tranny comes witht he sticker vin but from wat i noe the sticker can come of threw the rain, snow and the weather! but i need to prove that it does from a site or any infomation

dude not judgin but i have a y1 jdm tranny from a 89 crx and all that weather plus 3 years of pa snow and salt i still can perfectly read my stickers, and i have a b16 jdm block sittin in my garage from hmotors ill check and c if theres a vin on it , but you could call h motors and ask them if they have vin #s on them they will def know

 

i have a complete motor, the tranny without vin and motor with out it also. thats the only thing that the cops have on me. i didnt say that they have a bunch of stuff on me i work on me car everyday and theres alot of thief going on rite now and they think its me beacuse i work on me car everyday. they have been raiding alot of people around my place also not just me.

This is a serious problem its not a joke i dont wat to be a thief on HT

why wont yu try seeing were the block and tranny originated from and ask them were they got it, if all the ***** on yu what about the guy who sold the motor to yu, he might have something to do about it.

 

i dont have any info on him because he lives in fresno and i dont have his number thats why i need to noe if theres any info on the tranny that has a vin that falls off same with the long block here is a pic of a b16a motor that i got on another site with the tranny and the vin is comeing off
but thats nots enough proof.

 

Why would they randomly raid you for you working on your car everyday? lol

I work on my car(s) everyday and I'm sure nobody is at all suspicious of me. Surely something was happening for you to even get on their radar.

Either way, I don't see how you 'proving' that a sticker *can* come off would help your case in any way?

 

Not that I feel like helping much in this case, but Honda didn't start adding VIN numbers to engines until '96 - DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT! Talk to a dealership and they might be able to help!

On a side note JDM cars do not have VIN numbers and if that is your block B16A with no additional number is a small indicator that it's JDM...
