Default F22B1/F23A1 IM compatibility

About to swap my F22B1 IM and TB over to an F23A1 IM and TB. So far as I'm looking at now, for sure I'm going to need to change over the EGR, reroute some of the basic vacuum lines, but as far as some other fitment/compatibility issues I'm a little unclear.

1st, will I have to run the F22 fuel rail? Or can I just reposition the fuel line from the fuel filter and run the F23? Mine is a '96 so OBD2, injectors from the F23 intake any bigger/compatible?

TPS I use from the F22B1? IACV F22B1? As far as everything else, think I've read/researched enough diagrams to be confident most everything bolts right up.

Just got the parts in today, will be sending them out to be ported/polished and get them in ASAP when they get back all nice and shiny :D

Any hints/tips/suggestions greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Either fuel rail will work.

Just use your B1 fuel rail, it bolts on. Although I don't think the F23 is different. IACV from your B1, with the Blacktrax adapter, your injectors should fit right in. You can just bolt on the B1 TB. saves the headache of setting tps.

I would also give this a read since I haven't found another DIY around besides the AD one, but this one is more complete and discussed more

Good luck, I'm currently in the process of the this swap as well, just doing some "porting" on it before I send it out for a TB bore and port match.

Keep us updated!

Blacktrax adapter for the IACV? Could you explain/elaborate some? This intake came w/the IACV still installed could I use that one? Basically it came w/everything the intake would've been taken off with minus the TPS, so makes it easy I can just use my TPS.

Yes you can use your tps.

F23 iacv uses a three wire setup, the b1 uses a two wire setup. That and the iacv are different. Blacktrax has an adapter that you can use to setup for the two wire iacv.

It will work. Make sure to use the F23 Intake manifold gasket, it will have a vacuum leak if u dont. The adapter plate for my situation didnt work I took it to a machine shop to have another plate made 3/4" thicker. We made custom mounts for the F22A fuel rail. You will also not have an FITV anymore, so it will not idle as high at startup. GL!

You should look at your current IACV. If it is a 3 wire IACV It will work you would be able to use your current one or the one on the F23 manifold. If your current IACV is a two wire, you will need an adapter plate. I'm not positive then they changed to the 3 wire, if it was and OBD2 change then 96 would have a 3 wire ?

i have a 96 f22b1 and the iacv is still a 2 wire so the blackthrax adaptor plate would still be needed
