Default Fuel setup (searched, need solid answers)

Dear HT,
As we all are realizing, winter is closing in, which means, our toys go back in the garage, and we spend un-godly amounts of cash over the winter, so we can go faster next summer. At any rate, im currently stock gsr, turbod, and my fuel system is limiting me...how? Guy i bought it from, has rc310cc and stock pump. So im looking to build a solid fuel system, not over do it, but solid. Im looking to make 400-500 and be street able and idle-able. but still have room to build higher hp without redoing too much fuel system. so...

I have narrowed it down to either a walbro 255 intank, or bosch 044 in line. (some of you run both? can you tell me why, and how?

I really like b&m fittings fuel line kits. (any opinions on that)

Im looking at Injector Dynamic 1000's (id1000s)

And a fuel rail, golden eagle or aem, something.

What else am i missing? What fuel filter, do i need to run lines all the way or just from firewall to rail? Should i just install a fuel cell, im gutted to the metal already.

I appreciate all opinions, and if ya have pictures of what your talking about, post them up...i have A.D.D. so i appreciate pics! lol

Thanks guys

I used Precision 1000cc injectors and a single Intank Walbro 255 and made 433whp on pump and 544whp on 112 race before the fuel pump started maxing out.

I now have the Full Blown Dual walbro setup shooting for a little over 600 on race gas.

I think for your goals, 1000cc injectors, a single intank walbro, with stock lines should do it.

If i run 1000cc and a single walbro 255, everything else on the fuel system can remain stock? or what else would i wanna upgrade?

i only upgraded the fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator. I still kept stock fuel return, fuel feed, and fuel filter.

I hope you're planning to build it over the winter. The stock block isn't going to like that kind of power for long.

At any rate, if you're running pump gas, you should consider the following:

-880cc inj (good for 550+whp on pump gas and nearly 400whp on E85)
-Walbro 255lph (you can run a higher guage power wire to it if more flow is needed)
-stock fuel rail
-stock FPR

If you're going to upgrade either of the last 2, go with the FPR. The stock rail will flow more than enough.

Yes i do plan on building, id like to do a "stock block build" just to see what i can make.

So im looking at the ID1000s, walbro 255, what FPR? Stock filter, or something better?

Appreciate your input!

If you're on pump gas, dont get 1000cc injectors for your goal. You'll have a bad idle with no gains to speak of. A set of PTE880cc injectors would be perfect for your goals...even they are larger than you need. Hell, you could get by with a set of 750cc injectors.

I dont know what, if any, FPR i would go with. I'm still running stock and have a higher fuel volume with E85. I'm also running the stock filter and lines...You dont need get ahead of yourself

If you're going to get the FPR, go with AEM. That seems to be a pretty common one

I'm glad to hear it. I have 1000cc inj's on E85 and have a pretty good idle at 1k. My point was that he isn't going to gain ANYTHING with the 1000cc's vs a set of 880cc's. He ONLY stands to risk having a crappy idle.

Schister66, im glad you made that point, im hearing most people can idle ok with 1000cc's around 800-900rpm. Id rather buy 1000cc rather than 8XXcc injectors, because when i build, i do not wanna have to re-purchase bigger injectors again. Make sense, good thought process?
