How to unscrew torx screw from steering wheel?
Theres this junked civic at the junkyard that I want to get the steering wheel off of. However there is a torx screw in there that I simply cannot unscrew, I went and bought a T30 torx screwdriver and it was impossible to unscrew it, even with both hands. All I managed to do was strip the bolt a little, the steering wheel is locked so the bolt is facing up so between the windshield and the steering wheel, there really isnt much space.
What can I do to get it off? Keep in mind its a little stripped, not baaaaaaad, but its def now new. The other one on the other side hasnt been touched. Thanks in advance.
Heres a picture of the bolt Im talking about:

snap some vice grips on the torx driver you are using, your best bet is probably going to be an impact screwdriver with that torx bit in it. Last resort is easy, you drill it off and replace it.
no no no....i had the same idea as you and thought it would come off pretty easy.
just go to autozone and pick up a T30 1/4in socket (should only be like 3 bucks max for a cheapo great neck piece, but your not using it often), and throw an extension on your ratchet and it should come off prety easily.

Nah the airbag is still there, the whole car looks fine too lol. It wasnt an accident or theft, i think the engine took a **** or something. The airbag is still inside weeks ago i was there and i disconnected the airbag plug and the battery isnt connected either, ill be ok, good looking out!
Get a socket like said up there and use a impact driver. You pre load it then hit it and it will snap it loose. The impact driver will come in handy when you are removing set screws in your rotors, so now youll have one.
