Default D16Y8 How much power?

How much horse power can a D16Y8 produce without forced induction or nitrous?

I was getting a tattoo today and the guy who was doing it, when he was almost finished, began to talk about his 96, I believe, Civic. He stated that it was a D16Y8 and had a hondata s300 comp cams jp pistons and blah blah. He also said that it made 306whp. Could this even be possible? I have personally never heard of this much power from a d series, but I could be wrong.

HA! i doubt it. i mean he could have it bored and stroked with 14:1 compression a HUGE cam, 10k rpm redline, and methanol injection. but why? it would be pointless. he's prolly lying.

that sounds realistic if it had boost...but like u said no forced induction making 306whp NA just isnt happening for a d-series...and no one come in here talking how bisi is making 400+na with a d-series...cuz its not a d-series

Thanks for the input guys, it was just bothering me. I knew he was... we'll say stretching the truth (a lot), but just wanted some other people to tell me I wasn't stupid.

You are stupid, he might have 30 grand powering that car making it slimly possible (I think it might barely be possible, anyway).

.

Okay, probably not, yeah, he's full of ****. What was your tattoo of - and where? I'm thinking of getting one - but so many decisions, and I'm bad at making them!

My tattoo was my last name across the top of my back.
