What do these numbers/letters on my crank mean?
I know about the numbers for the main bearings and the letters for the rod
bearings, but what do the #3 in the center of the crank and "B" at the end
of the crank mean? They are circled and green and they are not referenced in the Helms anywhere that I could find.

BTW, if you haven't used this stuff before, I'd highly recommend it.

It seriously kicks *** for something that isn't 'toxic' like carb cleaner
or acetone! I got this container for 5 bucks at Wal-Mart. I hosed the
crank down with it and wiped it off with a wet cloth. The crank used to
look like this:

Probably just casting marks. Nothing that you would need to reference, unless you want to find out where it was made at, or what workers shift made it.
I used that Castrol stuff before. It does kick ***!
