Default My Best Track times

OK Guys and Girls. Here are my track times. I know this isn't really the best but it is good and I don't really have anything else to compare it to. Now you have to remember that this is a 1000 feet race track that I run at. Our little town here in Arkansas can't get bigger than a 1000 feet track. But here are the times

Reaction- .937
60 ft- 2.340
330 ft- 6.668
1/8 et- 10.268
1/8 mph- 68.55
1000 et- 13.178
1000 mph- 77.76

Ok I know those suck and I know the reaction time sucks but I forgot to pay attention to the light when it came on at first. Anyways just case you are wondering my best Reaction time in the car is a .500 perfect light at our track. Not sure how I did it but I did.

Mods to my 99 Honda Accord Lx 5spd 4cyl
Unorthodox Racing UDP, alt pulley, and p/s pulley
Striped interior..Just the factory driver leather seat. No console, carpet, rear panels, all other seats out, no lining stuff in trunk, basically ripped apart and weighed the car in at 2,960 lb GVW with my 148lbs of me and some weight for the spare tire jack and couple tools. ( I take that out at the track I don't leave that spare tire in.)
I almost forgot I took the p/s belt off that helped alot too.

not too bad...about a mid-high 15 second 1/4...in the range of 15.6-15.8

so basically its stock besides the U/R pulleys? and some weight reduction

Well actually it cut down 6 tenths of a second off of my time at the local track. But yeah It is cool that it is basically a stock car with some weight reducts. I have alot of work still to do to the car. I mean I have a crap load of work to do since I am about to put the turbo on. I am going to have to save up money for alot of things to come quick. MSD, Lightweight wheels, clutch and light flywheel, LSD, new driveshafts, brakes, and a few basic mantinence things since the car has 64K miles on it. I bought it used this year and it had 60K miles on it and no warrenty so I don't have to worry about voiding anything. I think I will have fun doing this. I am not worry about looks right now. I want to show ppl that Accords can go fast and that it isn't just a grocery getter. I want to show that Accords are underestimate and can be fast.

With a little top end power, you should see significantly lower times. I made my first pass on nitrous at the same track a few weeks ago and the best I could do was 12.8 at 86mph. My clutch was almost gone though and I was shifting very cautiously. Look at the mph difference, but only .3 or .4 of time difference. I just ordered a new clutch so I am hoping for very high 11's or very low 12's next time. This was on a 50 shot of nitrous

thats true, you could chill at the green light for 10 seconds and still get the same time. reaction time is important when you're lined up with someone else and racing eachother. if you're by yourself at the track, just relax.

Of course...but this thread (and most) are just about times...and I wanted to make sure that he knew that it didn't matter, cuz it sounded like he thought it did

No doubt I am use to pulling .5xx all night and not get anything. I know that the R/T doesn't give you a better ET but I like to have them both really low. I like to race bracket too. I know I could probably get a better time if I set there and just waited until I was 100% ready and everything. But I like to get a good R/T and a good ET all in the same run. Oh well I can't wait to see what I will run next weekend after I get the turbo in.

Well I topped my best time again at the tracks this past weekend. It was the last weekend before my turbo gets put on (tomorrow I can't wait). I ran a 13.021 in the 1000 foot. So I improved my time by some which is good. I ran 13.19x consistanly all night long which was good.
