The toda b-series header is probably one of the best off the shelf headers you can get and its not very common. It is expensive however. Just a suggestion.

Good luck with your choice,

Sev.

The toda would run you anywhere from 800-1000 I think. I have seen a lot of dynos on
b16's and b18's. The toda makes the best numbers next to the custom headers like SMSP or Hytech.

This header would "easily" out perform regular design headers. Spoon, bah, i had one, sold it off in favor of an Edelbrock model that was better made "and" made more power to the wheels throughout the power band.
Just because some header has the name on it, doesn't make it the best.

Similar to your intake thread, there are many off the shelf headers that perform better than the stock exhaust manifold, but don't perform as well as a custom header that is tailored to your motors setup. Remember, the off the shelf headers are designed to perform on a variety of engine setups so one may perform well on one engine, while another header may not perform very well, and these headers could perform the opposite on another engine setup. When thinking about the off the shelf headers, the cheaper priced ones, for the most part, offer minimal performance gains compared to the stock exhaust manifold, where the more expensive shelf headers will usually perform better than the lesser priced headers which is obviously better than the stock manifold.

There are also custom headers that are tailored to your engines setup and will maximize its potential (provided that the engine is taking in the necessary air through the intake and dispelling it through a properly sized exhaust). These headers range in price from slightly more than the higher end off the shelf headers all the way up to a couple of thousand dollars depending on the options that you choose (1 piece, 2 piece - slip fit, mild steel - coated, stainless, etc.).
