Default crome ecu or stock

i have a stock itr motor planning to keep it that way with just bolt on and proper ecu tuning would there be a big difference between the stock type r ecu, gsr ecu,and crome, right now im using a stock gsr ecu it seem like the vtec dosent engage hard, is it because of the ecu, if i would upgrade to crome would that be a waste of money, would i get good power out of it

if you're gonna get it tuned. then get crome. if you're not planning to get your car tuned . stick with stock.

i disagree, firs off if your running a gsr ecu on your itr motor with boltons thats just pain silly. an itr ecu is nice but a chipped p28 is WAY better for a motor with boltons/modifications.

coming form a person who has run several stock ecus on several different motor setups with all kinds of different bolton combos.... p28+crome/hondata+tune(dyno or street) is what you want. your car will get better gas mileage and run smother because it is properly tuned to the exact motor and parts combo you have.
