we want pix after you catch on fire.......lol

seriously though don't paint the halogen bulbs as they will burst from the paint catching on fire due to the heat generated....

Although it's possible to tint bulbs with glass dye (used for stained glass) on up to 5 watt bulbs, Quartz Halogen bulbs burn much much hotter and would not only burn off anything applied to them, and would most likely shatter as well.

Adding a High Intensity LED (color of choice) into the headlamp capsule gives the appearance of what you're looking for, but doesn't degrade the lamp output.

Fires are bad - try to avoid them

Painting a lightbulb would be hazardous. The bulbs burn too hot. The only thing I could think of would be to take a sharpie and color on it. lol. that sounds realy stupid but its the only thing I can think of that you would be able to coat your bulb with.

Paint would be too thick, and trap heat and make the bulb even hotter resulting in melted plastic or fire. The ink from a sharpie would still let the light through without the thick coating of paint and the heat could escape. (!!!I have NEVER done this, Just a thought. If your car catches on fire, I am not responsible lol.!!!)

...Or instead of paying 20 bucks for bulbs, and 8 for paint- go on ebay and buy an HID retrofit kit for about 60-70 bucks shipped. I have bought 2 kits so far, one for my car as well as my parents and so far (2 yrs later) are very reliable, bright and of course look great (and blue/white). Just make sure to aim your headlights properly!!! HID's in the eyes from an oncoming car can really **** some people off lol.
