what block to put on my car..??help please

Default what block to put on my car..??help please

ok so i have a 97 dx with a full b16a swap from a 99 si...i dont like the tourque and was wanting to put another block on it to give me some more tq and low end.. any reconmendations..and what do i need to do for the block swap...thanks guys let me know your opinions..

Ok, you might get a little flamed on this lol. But with b-series the displacement is from the stroke not the bore so you can actually put a gsr bottom end(crank, rods, pistons) in your current block and go that route, maybe a bc stroker kit lol

b20 block will give you the most torque but will require more work than a gsr or type r block. i wouldn't even bother with a b18a/b block, because even though the stroke is a little longer than a b18c1/b18c5 block and you will get more torque, they don't handle high revs very well and in the end you still have a 1.8l. if you're gonna do the work on a b18a/b motor to handle the high revs you could get a b20 and do the same thing and still get more torque.

so, all of that summarized

b18c1/b18c5 - easiest to swap and get more torque

b18a/b18b - more torque that b18c1/b18c5 but recommend slight build to handle higher revs

b20 - most torque but reccomend slight build to handle higher revs
