I put one on an rsx type s before and it ripped pretty good and it was the low boost pulley...the kid ended up running the 11 pound pulley and the car really rips now..

this is the charger

how about an intercooler? I've seen one for the B series made by LHT, and it was more than worth the money.

maybe on a pro charger but I dont know how you would put an intercooler on a JR charger when it takes the place of the intake plenum

To be quiet honest with you i think the jackson super charger is the worst way to go as far as forced induction on hondas. Ive taken more off for customers then ive ever put on. Makes you wonder if its so great why would people be paying me to take them back off. Actually one customer paid us to take the super charger off then i did the tsx bottom end swap on his RSX. After putting it on the dyno and being re-tuned it made 10 less horsepower to the wheels (210 if i remember correctly). But if you think about it 10 less horseower and NO boost, come on guys its not worth the money. Now throw a custom turbo set up on your new bottom end swap and then youll really turn heads. Hondas love high revs, super chargers just dont. but thats just my two sense.

the reason i want a supercharger is because it's a better daily driver. It's going on my wife's car. It's just more fun to have the instantaneous power and quick acceleration. I've had good experiences with them or heard of others that have on b16s and b18s (if they are tuned and setup right). there's a thousand threads on the internet of why turbos are better than superchargers, so I don't need to hear it again. I understand why turbos are "better". I'm just asking about the supercharger.
Yah i will consider the comptech, but definitely leaning towards jr.
I don't think there's a cooler out there for the k20, just for the b16.

Id go with the Comptech since they worked exclusively with Hondata but thats just me.

Get a greddy kit, slap that bitch on without upping the boost or anything and your GF will love it Then you can always upgrade later when Kpro comes out if it ever does. I hate the Wine of SC's anyway, I like the Pshhht when I shift lol. I get blown off by evo's in my Speed3 Daily Blown off lol

Not to mention those blow jobs from Srt 4's LOL, Damn Cocky Srt Drivers!!!

man I dont know what they are talking about but I have seen plenty rsx-s make 290-300+ on 10-11 lbs on JR superchargers maybe 210+ on like a 4lb pulley...but 10+ on a good tune ummm yeah

this is with NO2 but he makes a pass on just the blower and runs a 12 something

and here is a dyno vid of 10 psi making 290+hp

the jackson is also tuned by hondata, it's a couple hundred cheaper, and it makes more power than the comptech.
I'll go comptech if there's a specific reason to...
everyone's in favor of a turbo though?

I didnt mean to step on anyones toes about the post, yes i do believe the JS is a good product just wasnt sure what the full cars intentions were. But for a daily setup not a bad buy.

Turbos are better in a performance aspect but if you dont take care of them or do it right you can cause probs. I dont really know if the performance aspect comes into play though since you cant really tune. Maybe the SC is better right now sinc eyou can up the pulleys but I dont know how that works lol.

Greddy kit is like 3k tho and since you were considering the cheaper option I doubt its in your mind.

IF the JS is cheaper and uses a Hondata Reflash than I would go with the JS. However if I had the money id go with the Greddy kit.

Greddy kit = Teh Sex

the jackson is $3400, including the hondata reflash.

I haven't bought anything yet, and after some research I may still consider a turbo. I welcome more input if anyone has some. I know very little about the k-series. I have grown up on b and d.

i dont know but s/c or t/c would hurt the life of the engine..no?
but if your not going to keep the car for that long then go for it.
as for me...hmmm...a turbo charger...
super charger...doesnt it take about 50% of its power just to turn itself?

quote me if im wrong

so the greddy turbo and jackson super are the same price.
both are fairly easy to install.
supposedly the jrsc makes 78 more hp, while the greddy makes 54 more...
