I'm searching for a write up on installing the RS rear door handles in a R. I searched but I was not able to find what I was looking for. If someone could post up a link that would be great.

 

Why would you need a write up for this... its only one phillips screw that attached it to the door?

 

You also dont need RS handles. Any rear door handles off a 4dr Teg of the same gen will work just the same.

 

Really? Thats it? Well it only eliminates the outer door lock doesn't it? Everything else remains the same? I'm totally new to the thought of this so I'm trying to get info on it.

I think you were thinking of the RS door bezels which people use to eliminate the auto lock button on the inside of the car. Any rear four door handles will eliminate the outer door lock if that is what you are looking to do.

 

Yea the interior door handle bezels is what people usually use from an RS. I installed these in my GS-R about 4 years ago. Makes the interior look alot cleaner IMHO (no chrome tab switch) and of course makes it not so easy to unlock the doors for thieves.

Also, as I discovered after installing these, if your passenger slides the door lock open to get out, you can then just slide your lock open, then lock it back and both doors will lock, similar to the central door locking system on BMW's and some other European vehicles.
