help plz, Radius rod bolt stuck!
Ok, sooo my 4th gen has always wobbled like crazy while accelerating so I replaced spring isolators, tie rod ends, upper ball joints, upper control arms, sway bar bushings, sway bar endlinks, and anything else that was torn/dry rotted. Nothing fixed my vibration problem so i ordered 2 new axles from autozone. The drivers side came out fine but now the passanger side is messing with me. Where the radius rod end bolts into the lower control arm, I am unable to remove one of the two 17mm bolts. I've used breaker bars, liquid wrench, openends and a bunch of other crap and all its doing is getting rounded off. The bolt is right under the axle so I am unable to get an impact or any other air powered tool in there. My last resort at this point is taking a tourch to the bolt to heat it or drilling it out. Any advise guys??? Thanks
The only reason why I want to drop the lca is because I just installed a new lower ball joint and I dont want to tear the boot by prying up on the ball joint and the knuckle...
Is there a way to lift the knuckle/ball joint out of the hole in the lca without damaging the new ball joint?

Yeeep... thats a complete PITA to get off.... How did it get rounded? I dont see it happening unless you used a 12pt....
Mine came off pretty easy. I had to buy a ~9" 17mm wrench just for it, but it worked.

The previous owner messed up so many things...including rounding off a bunch of bolt heads. Sometimes I just wish that my car was stock :/

This is my favorite tool to use for the lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends.
Just remember to leave the nut on enough to protect the cotter pin holes.
