Whats wrong with my starter?
I just bought a new starter, and my headlights come on nice and bright.
Installed the starter and cranked the key. All i hear is rapid clicking. What could it be?
I think it might be a problem with the wiring (ex short somewhere). My ground seems to be well attached. How can i diagnose my problem?

thanks. do u have a picture of where the No. 4 fuse is in the layout of the fuses? i lost the cover that has a diagram of it lol
also i was wondering if the clicking is a symptom of any specific problem other than "its not working properly"

Oh - mine did this twice.... I found that the starter solenoid wire (smaller 14 gauge or so wire) was loose on the starter. Mine is on the top of the starter solenoid on the passenger side. I found that when the engine cranked, the wire would pull loose. I crimped the spade clip tighter and pushed it back on.

Push-start it, turn on the headlights, and leave it running for 30 minutes. If the car dies, it's something with the battery/battery cables. If it doesn't, it's something with the starter/starter cables.
