New Fuel pump primes, but car won't start! help!
I just installed a new fuel pump with a new strainer. When i connect all of the lines and electrical connectors, i try to crank the car but nothing happens. The tank is being supported by a jack so i can still tinker with things and i am 95% sure i didn't reverse the polarity on the pump so it should work, but it doesn't! WOuld the banjo bolt that attaches directly above the feed line for the pump not allow the fuel to flow properly if it isn't torqued properly?!?! Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. i have an 88 CRX Si

The tank is nearly full. THere should be plenty of gas available. When i loosened the banjo bolt there was a spray of gas that shot out. Doesn't that mean the pump is functioning properly, but maybe not flowing through the banjo bolt properly?
same thing happened here. ok first i would check to see if all your fuel lines are perfectly straight, that means make sure the lines arent ripped and bent open. my crx take dropped and it tore apart the nylon type fuel line from the tank to the car and it leaked gas not allowing the car to reach proper fuel pressure. also you may think you did a great job on the wiring but it could be a small problem too. since the tank is already dropped just make sure. also make sure all the bolts fastening the pump to the tank are tight and make sure the gasket isnt torn apart. apart from that make sure the fuel pump relay is working and make sure the alternator fuse is not blown, it controls the starter and all that jazz. last but not least the distributor is dead. happened to mine.
