After cleaning out the fitv, it took care of the surge when cold start up. Iacv isn't dirty either when i installed my blacktracx iacv adapter plate for the f23a1 IM and this is my new f22b1 motor. It's been doing the same thing with my old motor too. what could it be when the car is fully warmed up and it idles high at 1.5K(not surging)?? it doesn't bounce but it'll idle at 1.5K for like 2-3 mins and then slowly goes back to 1k and stays there for like another 2 mins or so then maybe back to 700rpm. Anyone have this problem? Coolant is bled, fitv is adjusted, iacv is cleaned, sprayed brake cleaner all over hoses, tb, iacv, im, and everywhere there's vacuum but nothing. any ideas?

Here's the idle i'm talking about.. It sometimes surges when i come to a fast complete stop, other than that, it'll idle just like what you see in the vid and i revv'd it a little in the middle of the vid.

-FITV
-IACV
-TB and there's some slack on the Throttle Cable.

 

Also, Can a Blown Headgasket cause this high idle?

 

i got a f22b(1) jdm swap. car idles at 1.5k on start-up, then after a few minutes, it goes down to 700. i think this is normal. no issues what so ever.

 

F series will idle as high as 2K when it is extremely cold out. I would not be too worried about it....
