Default duplicolor auto paint

i was just about to post the same thing as you man. Id like to hear anyones experiences with the paintshop stuff. I'm prepping my brothers gas tank for paint and since were trying to do it on a budget we dont know if to give it a shot.

Gas tank on a car? Or a bike? Try it and see how it turns out, I really don't know how duplicolor paint shop turns out, I always use house of kolors. I'm actually curious myself, if you try it post some pics, I may use it to do side jobs that don't want that expensive overpriced HOK.

gas tank for my brothers 78 cb500 which were turning into a cafe racer. Id like to do 2 stage but he just wants a cheap decent looking black color. doesnt have to be perfect which I do want it to be. the only reason I havent gone out and gotten the paintshop stuff is Idk how well that lacquer clear holds up to gas since it is a moto tank

Yeah I'd definitely stay away from it in that case. If you go to napa they have a cheap martin senour line, forget the product line name, its made more or less for hobbyists. I'd look into that, comes out decent as long as the prep work is of quality.

yea Im for sure going to shop around before I buy anything. Im trying to keep the costs under 100bucks total. including sand paper, primer paint and all the req*.I know prep is the most important thing.

it sucks!! i mean its a better spray then sum i used but i did an engine bay and the clear dulled in a few months. it jus lost its gloss and plus its kind of costly IMO.

never sprayed a car with it but works great on mdf boxes and furniture

ok thanks for all the imput. at orileys autoparts it is 19.99 and that pretty cheap. i was wondering it the paint was cheap too. still would like some pictures
