Default coolent temp issue?

i have a 94 accord f22b with 96k miles.... when stoped for a long time (idle) the motor gets to a littel passed half way to half (a littel more then a 1/4 i guess you could call it) and gets no "hottter" when driveing on the hwy and useing the heat i noticed that it will go down to the blue part of the gauge or even passed that... im concerned that i might do spome damage to my motor or something..my girlfriends acura integra dose the same thing

noticed that MOST of the time when on in the hwy and its not all the way cold(b.c some times its not but its rare) and then iturn the heat on then it will come down?

who knows what the promlem is???

Sounds like you have a thermostat that is sticking open. I would recommend purchasing a new one from your local Honda dealership and replacing it, then burping the coolant system.

Could also be a condensor fan motor out as well, if the temperature is only climbing @ stops and decreasing while driving.

check your motors and relays AFTER you replace your t-stat

1. if your car is getting warmer (Above 1/2) when idling, you have a fan problem
2. Since your car is going cold when driving around the hwy, your tstat is stuck open.
