i have a 2003 rsx type s and i just bought ground control coil over and tried to put them on my stock shocks. for some reason they dont fit right. the actual sleeve of the coilover dosnt go over the middle piece of the shock were the chrom stick comes out from and the stock springs also look wayy bigger than the springs from the coilover in diameter. i was told by a friend that i have to use certain aftermarket shocks only. is this true? and if so which ones would be the best and affordable @ the same time?

my friend has koni/gc on his 05. if u get koni u have to cut open ur stock strut and drill a hole under it for the konis to go in

You don't need to bump your thread every 15 minutes... somebody is going to answer you sooner or later.... as for your stock shocks throw them away and get some konis yellows don't be stupid and ride on stock with ground controls...
Remember this if you going to do it do it right or don't do it at all!!!

i jus found it very weird cuz i kno for civics u can put them on stock shock so i was jus wondering if thats an rsx thing or if i jus have a unique problem. i was told by a buddy of mine that that always happen with g/c on stock shocks on rsx's depending on the brand of the stocks if they are oem replacments but i jus rather hear it from others with more knowledge.
I agree with every1 to go with konis but to answer ur ? I seen some peeps on clubrsx running GCs with stock shocks....
check there... hopefully u can find something with pics....
GL....

if you run ur GC on stock shocks u willl blow it up so fast. ur car will ride so bad you gonna hate it. just save up some more money for some shocks and install them all at the same time
Yeah. I highly recommend not putting them on til you save up for some sort of aftermarket strut. I had coilover sleeves on my stock shocks and it seriously rode like absolute crap. Every bump in the road was multiplied by 100 and I hated it. Honestly, just wait, save your money and buy the real deal. You will hate the ride on your car.
