Default Injector resistor box ? for you

Ok, so i did the MPFI conversion, but since I am going turbo AND obd1, should I just undo the resistor box? I am not using the DSM injectors just 240cc ones.

if your injectors are obd0 keep it, if they're obd1 ditch it. whether your running the rest of the car obd0 or 1 doesn't matter.

one good point to the plug vs the box, is you can unplug the cap on the plug so as to keep car jackers from starting your car

Can't start the motor if there's no gas!!!!!!

and its far more easy to hide the little gray plug then the huge metal box.....

weather or not your ish will run right? obd0 injectors require the resistor box because they can't take more that 5.5 volts, as apposed to obd1/2 injectors that are able to run off the standard 12

Voltage is not the main issue; the resistance is. Low impedance(ie; OBD0 injectors), allow a large amount of current to travel to the ECU; thus frying it. Hondata did a test and fried an ECU in like 30 seconds IIRC. In addition to that; if the ECU didn't fry, the injectors would probably overheat.

im swapping a Z6 intake with a LS throttle body. why? if you want to to know intake to get just get a z6 or a Y8. and if you can find one at a junk yard get ls throttle body as well

Check out the FAQ.

Nice clean way to ditch your resistor box if you're using obd1 or obd2 injectors.

I never thought about using it as an antitheft device either! Nice.

I was just wounding if you're where swap in a y8 intake. that's all.

Oh, that's cool I didn't know a LS throttle body would bolt up. I'll have to keep a look out for one.

I thought I would need a resistor box to run my y8 injectors (not sure if their OBD1 or 2) on OBD0 system? just a bit confused...sounds to me I don't need it.

If you have injectors form a y8 intake mani then you will not need the resistor box. Only obd0 injectors need them as they need only 5.5 volts to operate (hence the reason for the resistor box). The obd1 and obd2 injectors run off the normal 12v and do not need the resistor box. So you're fine, no box needed.
