just courious if it was possible or worth it to take my 95 accord lx that does not have ABS and make it have ABS? if this is a stupid question i apologize in advance.
yes it is possible but no it isn't worth it because there is a lot of stuff to be added and some stuff that need to be changed out
It would be prohibitively expensive and labor intense either way you went.
All '95 Accords (except the wagon) were available with ABS. It would be a simple matter to buy another and sell yours.
It's either that or swap out the entire system from a salvage queen and install it in your car.
Not for the faint hearted

abs on my 2000 EX is the **** with 4x disc
i can drive RETARDED AS *** and just stomp on the brakes and not lock them up even in the wet, and it stays in a straight line too, tylers integra just gets asshappy and does whatever it wants hahaha

it is a 95 accord lx 2dr it did cross my mind to get another accord with ABS but i LOVE my specific car, also i have drove my brothers 99 prelude SH,my girls 04 chevy cavalier and her 03 ford escape all of them had ABS and i have tested it in each car and everytime the brake pedal it vibrates and gets real stiff and makes a weird noise is this normal cause it does not feel right?

A point? I've never owned a car with ABS. I'm an old fart and I pride myself on my driving skills. So much so that I believe I have a better feel for whats happening than any computer ever could.
yes I did the ABS swap on my 94 Lx it took 2 8 hour days from start to finish...first you have to do a rear disc brake swap and replace the front knickles with Ex ones as the Lx didn't have holes to mount the sensors or you can drill holes...and it's a good time to replace the rear cross member with the Ex so you can use the rear sway bar... then you have to replace the wireing harness from the headlights to the tail lights anly harness you can leave there is the engine harness and the tail if you repin the harness as Ex has power seat..also the brake master, braker booster is diffrent on ABS car and this is the easy stuff !!! the hard part is replaceing all the hardlines as all of it except the 2 that goes to the rear brakes needs to be replaced proportion valve with coupler and the right front hardline was a pain w/o the engine in and worst with it in as you cannot bend it..but I already pulled 2 sets of lines at the local wrecking yard .. but I did a 5 lug swap and rotor over swap so it took out a few steps and I did this on a DD so if not finished i'm taking the buss home ...

ya too much for me and now knowing that the feeling and noise in the pedal normal i would not want ABS.
it's a time consuming swap and as rear disc brake swap and no ABS system stopped worse then the drum/disc setup ....and the that was my second hardest swap as the grand prize was the 6th gen digital climate control ...

WOW thats nice man it all works well worth it. what gauge cluster do you have in their, what year is that, how hard was the gauge cluster to put in? sorry i know thats alot of questions
It looks like he has a 6th gen cluster in there. I wouldnt mind putting in a digital climate control. I've seen one or two on ebay for CD6's
thanks , it's 6th gen 99 cluster it was easy just gutted a old cluster for the sockets and cut the plugs from the 99 and made a adapter harness only 2 issues 1 was the ABS light on the 99 needs ground to shut off where on the 94 ground turns it on and the brake light out warning light ground turns it on where as the 94 ground turns it off so I rewired the PCB and switched the ABS's logic and the brake light out one so they both work fine... the digital climate control was a nightmare as I basically cut the circut board in half then put jumper wires between the boards and solidering wires the size of hair (70 of them) if you look closely you will notice the 5th gen fan and temp ***** with a 6th gen digital part it's a hybride cut and glue... but now i'm off to a new adventure a 98 CL dash and climate control and a 7 th gen gauge cluster that is proven to be the most difficult swap because of the CANBUS setup..
