Aebs Intake Manifold....throttle body?
I have an Aebs Intake Manifold on the GSR motor im putting in my CRX. I was wonder what size aftermarket throttle body i could use? should i use a throttle body spacer? In what way do this minor mods help?
a larger throttle body will only increase your idle and decrease you mpg.
If your engine is N/A, then your motor is already getting enough air in it to perform at its best, a larger throttle body will decrease your intake velocity, giving you less hp. I'd say to stick with the stock one.
Not sure on the spacer, if it's anything like the intake manifold one that creates a gap between itself and the engine, giving cooler air. Than that one must make a gap between the throttle body and manifold, also for cooler air.
You'll most likely get the most power with the spacer and bypassing the coolant lines on your stock throttle body.
But if you have a turbo. You could get both the larger throttle body and spacer. I don't know much on turbos, but I think you would just get more out of your boost.
