Plans for my EG... Would it be too common?
So, as soon as I sell the car I have right now, I have it planned to buy an EG Civic Si hatch, either red or white.
Here is a list of plans I have for the car...
Exterior:
-Amber corner lenses
-CF hood
-CF duckbill
-Type-R look front lip (flat black)
Wheels:
-15" EK Si OEM wheels p-coated flat black
Suspension:
-Skunk2 coil-overs
-Tokico gas dampers
Interior:
-Sparco black reclinable racing seats
-Sparco steering wheel
-gutted back seat
-new black carpetting
Engine:
-EK Si 1.6 DOHC VTEC
Now, would this be too common to run on an EG, since to me this JDM style is getting fairly played out, even though I like the style - or would this be just fine?
Opinions, comments, suggestions, and rants are all welcome...

In my area, JDM hasn't taken over at all. Maybe it's just all the people that are into the JDM style in N.A. that come to these forums- which makes me think that JDM is getting played out.
You're right, JDM style compared to RICE-style isn't played out at all.

well it depends on what kind of style YOU prefer. do you like to comb your hair back or forward??
Hahaha. I don't comb my hair at all.
refering to your question and not where you live...........the plans you have for your car is pretty common. its hard to seprate yourself from the rest. it sounds like your car would look tight when its done. do wat you want and not because its so common. if you like it........do it

White was only available in 94/95 for Si's.
Caspian blue pearl is pretty rare... 92/93 only? I think white replaced it.
Red, black, and teal were all 4 years I think.
YMMV.
If it were me, I'd ditch all the "look at me" parts and spend more on suspension. Skunk2/Tokico is going to ride like junk.
The Si wheels are 17lbs, heavy as crap, $400-500 (legit), powdercoating is another $25/wheel USUALLY unless you're a cool guy, nevermind the POS Michelins that come with those. I'd much rather find a set of lightish wheels for 3-400 and then get some good tires...
Sparco seats are cool but you're a lot more likely to get jacked with those in your car. Del Sols or GSR/ITRs are good 'nuff for me...
Anyway... everything is common on a Civic... that's just what I'd do... and save for a B18C over a B16A.

Si's came in WHITE in Canada through all the 92-95 years...
They were available in red, black, and teal most commonly, and then there was also that blue, in 92-93, and white, which was rare from 92-93, but more common from 94-95.

The suspension I am rethinking, and going with a Eibach spring, that wont set-off my camber, maybe 1.8" front, and 1.5" rear, with bilstein dampers or tokico blues.
As for the interior, you are right, as soon as someone see's SPARCO on the front seats, they will want to jack it right then and there. I am going to rethink it, and maybe get and EK Si/SiR interior, which would run me a third of the cost of SPARCO Torinos.
The thing is with the wheels, I dont want anything thats too common, like the lightweight ROTA wheels. I also plan to run the same wheels through the winter, which is why I want to stick with all-season rubber.
As for the engine, I want to go with a B16A because its just enough power for me. I'm not too crazy for speed or power, and I don't want to wrap my hatch around a poll!

No.. don't get the EK seats.. they're not that great looking.. I would say to get a set of TEG seats or ITR seats.. that would look and feel mint.
B16a? LOL.. VTEC is highly over rated.. LOL.. But b16a isn't all that bad...
I'm from Mississauga...
I've seen quite a few JDM looking EG Civics in and around Mississauga. I don't know... Maybe I will settle in with a H22 EX-r '95 Accord four door... Those aren't all that common...
