Interest in ORSCA Sport Compact Classes SFWD/PFWD/MOD/PRWD
Generating Interest
So as many of you may know already, Dan has been talking with ORSCA about adding sport compact classes. ORSCA is a solid racing series that has been going strong for years, and is very close in style to ADRL with their similar 10.5 classes. ORSCA so far has had a schedule base in alabama, georgia, tennessee, and south carolina and will probably remain close to that in 09, check their site forum for the schedule. The series is generally about 10 races long and has been and probably will remain 1/8th mile racing. I myself have talked with a few racers from the series in the past and i have never received any negative feed back towards wanting to run their series. This is just gathering info time so post up or send me a PM on your interest in one of the 3 "proposed" classes. PM'z are much easier to track in order to add you to the list.

I decided several months back and have been working on my car to fit into ORSCA Outlaw 10.5. The outlaw rules are the closest I've found to the old MOD rules. I won't be able to chase the circuit around in 09 as the car is still a few months from completion.
I do like the idea of 1/8 mile drag racing, it's much easier on parts and there is a tremendous amount of skill needed to run this class. instead of 180 in the 1/4, your 180 in the 1/8! That I like.
Thanks to you guys spearheading this!

I think he has that CL powered Modified car.
I'm interested, 10.5 is where I'd think a HR would fit into. Or if there is a PFWD deal I'll go there.
However a lot of the races are a haul for me and without a car that goes vroom at this point I can't really commit to it.

01 acuracl. I started it last year, getting close to completion now. I explored the rules for Extreme 10.5 in ADRL and decided against it. ORSCA was more in line with what I had in mind. Drop me a pm if you would like to communicate on this.

Come on guy's you have a chance to be part of a very good group of racers. We need to see who is willing to race with us.
After two years of complaining about not having a good racing series you now have a chance to control and change your own future.

Bullseye Power is the tittle sponsor for ORSCA for 2009. We have opened up the Outlaw 10.5 tire class to accept the MOD cars and Pro FWD cars.
We are looking for people to express interest in a SFWD class in order to open a new class we need to know people are going to show up to run.
If you want a new SFWD class we need a list of participants. That is why Matt made this post.
thats great that you got that class opened for the pro front guys and mod guys.
I know its hard to get a lot of sfwd type guys to run 1/8th mile, but its still fun.
