Fuse for heater keeps blowing
The fuse for my heater keeps blowing, someone told me to wrap it in tin foil and stick it back in. I did that and it worked, however it kinda smells like something is burning in the car...is using tin foil bad for the electrical system? any help would be appreciated...
theres a reason why you kept blowing fuses. you need to find why it is. short? the fan is drawing to many amps from being stuck or the motor is blown? the burning smell is probably wires, you need to fix it before it ruins more stuff.
thanks, i'll probably just take it to a mechanic. ha, i did hydrolock the motor a few weeks ago...still runs but motor's probably garbage
tin foil makes an awful fuse....kinda defeats the purpose of having fuses...go get it fixed right before you have a fire......and take the damn foil off the fuse
yeah once again, didn't listen to h-t's advice and fixed it when it should've been fixed. my car caught on fire yesterday. i have now confirmed one should never use tin foil as a fuse.
You should have known better, but whoever that "someone told me" is, find him and kick him in the nuts for me, and write dumb *** on his forehead with an indelible ink maker please.
