4 cans of aircraft paint stripper, sandpaper and 94cent cans of black wal mart spray paint are how I did mine. People confuse it with powdercoat all the time. Its been on there for 3 years and needs to be redone now, but it lasted longer than I expected...a lot longer! But I'd check local auto stores and see what's out there, if wal mart garbage held this long I'd imaine some durable duplicolor paints would be great if you're on a budget, but powdercoat is always the way to go P good luck

If your going for a nice looking painted wheel I really wouldnt use spray paint, they wont turn out like you want I promise just check with a autobody repair shop and see how much they would charge itll be worth it in the end

one of the main things is that it be a slow drying paint and not fast which as why it just rubs off a lot (that and poor prep). Im with the 2nd post guy if your short on money, that how i do a lot of stuff

If you want the most durability (with the exception of powder coating), I'd go with epoxy primer. You can prime and just shoot some spray paint over that. Eastwood has epoxy with catalyst for less than $40. That'd be more than enough to prime your wheels. Otherwise, save your pennies and get the powder coating. That's money well spent w/o going backwards.

buy a used house oven for like 20 bucks. Just get the biggest one you can find. Then head on over to harbor freight pick up a powder coating system for $39.95 and some flat black powder for $5.00 a lb and your in business.

Normally 400 but depends on the powder. It will tell you the temp on the powder and the time to be baked.

I've spray painted TONS of different wheels. 19's on a BMW in gold with a polished lip, 10th anniversary CB7 wheels in green, 2000 328Ci stock wheels in green. It took alot of clear to actually gloss on the green wheels but they have fine gloss without using clear coat.
