He does amazing work to say the least. I am still blown away at anyone that can lead fill. It is one of the things that i would love to learn. I can form metal just fine, but the lead work is ridiculous.

those rods are like diesel rods, i dont know why they are like that. just about every single cat motor has rods like that.

 

Ha, that's an old Coventry Climax engine. Used in alot of older lotus's. They're actually portable fireman waterpump engines that were converted to auto use.

I can't imagine the amount of time it takes to learn those skills. I wouldn't even know where to start.

 

Being an apprentice and being able to work for free will help. I know a lot of old fabricators that I have learned from just by helping them and being an extra set of hands when they needed. I helped tin the interior of a dragcar when i was 14 and it was amazing to see this guy work.
