My heater still does not work
It's been about 14 months since my heater has actually worked.
A while back (approx 14.5 months ago) I flushed my radiator. when i filled it with fresh coolant + water I somehow used the wrong combination and ultimately clogged the system.
I know the system was clogged because when I took the car to the mechanic to get the water pump and timing belt changed, I also mentioned the "no heat" problem. The mechanic checked everything for me and said he did a flush and found alot of gunk in the hoses.
After that, the heater was ok for about 2 weeks.
Fast forward to today. 14 months later. I decided that I was tired of having no heat. I took the car to the shop to have it flushed. Again, there was alot of gunk in the lines and the mechanic was shocked of how dirty my cooling system was.
He cleaned the hell out of it. I still have no constant heat.
The hot air comes out for about 8 seconds and then it's cold.
anyone have any advice?
Thanks guys.

At the very least, I'd suggest you back-flush the heater core to see if you can re-establish some flow.
