heat, but not hot
last year i replaced my waterpump because the son of a bitch took a **** on me. i drove it to the point where the gear of the water pump assembly flew out of the timing cover.
i replaced that water pump with a new one....after that, i replaced the thermostat with a failsafe 170degree rating at Autozone(where i work). i bled the system and all that....when i go and start up the car, i noticed that i had only luke warm heat and not hot hot!! oh yeah, the lower radiator hose is cold most of time, until i sit at idle and rev at 2500 rpms then it gets warmer, but only when at a stop!!
what could be the cause of this? a faulty waterpump? thermostat?

Re: (jimmy o.)
i replaced it with another water pump today, it seemed to get alittle hotter, but i will do that.
will a clogged heater core cause the bottom radiator hose to not be as hot as the top hose?
