Default ORSCA is opening up some classes to accept imports.

I have been talking/helping ORSCA over last few months about opening up some of the classes to accept some of the imports.

So far we have a no brainer on the MOD, Pro FWD cars. The rules are pretty open and we are looking for cars that run mid 4's in the 1/8 on 10.5w tires.

For those of you who don't know what MOD stands for it is the modified cars like Dee Karagiannis, Luis@Paradise, Ken Scheppers and Rau........

I would like for any of you that are interested in running in ORSCA to please contact me.

Dan@bullseyepower.com or 231-830-5102 cell

We also have other opportunities for classes like Hotrod and SFWD.

ORSCA is a very good organization that will be around for years to come. I have family that has worked with the owner over the years and they have nothing but good things to say about the owner of ORSCA and the organization.

I asked how ORSCA was doing financially and the response I got was a very good one. ORSCA is a paid for debt free company. In other words they have done things right and not lived beyond their means. This is one of the main reasons I feel ORSCA is a very good direction for Bullseye Power and the sport compact community to go. With the way ORSCA has done business they will be around for many years to come. They also want us to race with them so things will not be like they have been in the past with other sanctioning bodies making us feel like we are not welcome.

Not to take anything away from what you are trying to do. I'm all for more acceptance into non-sports compact events. But if its just Pro cars, this only affects maybe 20 people in the whole country. And thats even if they are all willing to run ORSCA.
What we really need is Street Classes in events. You bring in a class similar to SFWD, you're targeting 100s of possible cars in 1 class. Not just the 8 or so Profwd scattered throughout the country. Actually less than 8 since GM is all done, unless the Cobalts are self funded.
I"m not saying this to go against this(we have a direct interest in a ProFWD class as well), but to see if any of your connections will open up spots for classes such as SFWD or Outlaw SFWD.

There are many classes for the people you are worried about that can be opened up to accept them.

There are 7.00, 6.00 and a 5.00 index classes. I think it would be fun and exciting to see a V8 and 4 banger square off.

DAN!!! ARE YOU TRYING TO RUIN MY TRIPS TO PUERTO RICO???? LOL

I'm sure ORSCA will except the HOT ROD and SPWD cars as well. I do think PRO FWD would be a lost cause due to the fact that......well like stated......There are barely 8 pro fwd cars in the country. but if you concentrate on Hot rod and SPFWD...You will definitly have a hit.

And for the people out there that has never been to an ORSCA event....It is just as awesome as ADRL.

And the index racing is super awesome. Its designed for the average low budget, grass roots racer to be able to compete in any of the desired indexs.

The cool thing about the index classes is that there are NO RULES!!!! AND ITS STILL HEADS UP RACING!!!!

Yea I know there are only a handful of PFWD cars, I was looking at the cars that could cross over and blend into the ORSCA organization without many changes. The MOD and PFWD cars would fall right in place in the 10.5W class.

I can't remember offhand, but what is the difference between the Pro-RWD and Modified classes outside of tire size?

Good work though expanding the options for racers. Always nice to have more places to race.

Pro RWD is cars like Titan that are tube chassis 6 cyliner ( mid 6'S) and MOD are mostly back half cars (low 7's capable of high 6's). Rotary chassis cars will likeley be able to run in 10.5w also.

Nothing to write home about with the single lol But I'm aiming for mid 7's in the end, so whatever that equates to in a FWD car. I'm not set on making shows off the bat or anything, I just wannt put on a show and go have some fun!

I figured it was full tube chassis vs. back half. I just wanted to make sure because of the obvious former Pro RWD car that is running 10.5 and in that area.

FWIW, Hunt and Gardella both ran 4.90's at the ADRL event in Ohio.

FWIW, the Titan car can only compete in ADRL XTF. It's not legal for any of the other 10.5 series classes.
In ADRL, its anything goes as long as it's a doorslammer with 10.5W tires on it.

I think if you could organize a group of Outlaw SFWD racers to show up for one particular ORSCA race, you might be able to set it up to have that run as a heads up class. It would make a good show if you could get a big group together. It would also show that there are enough serious racers around to make it a viable class.

Just to clarify, rota means high 7's in the 1/4 mile. Does anyone know what Eggum's 1/8 mile times were?

you can run a sfwd car in the 7.0 class, but to run the 6 or 5 class you have to weigh as much as a tow truck, like 3300lbs. I almost went to a couple last year but other reasons and their high entry fee kinda killed that for 08. All of their events except 1 are 4 hrs or less from me. $115 to race though is REALLY STEEP for those events.

We are working on weight breaks for the Sport Compact cars. Our goal is to bring in as many racers as we can and to do this without causing anyone to modify their setup. It would not make much sense if you guy's were going to have to build a new car to compete or to add on so much weight you can't compete.

I am open to suggesting we bringing in a class like SFWD if there is enough racers to support atleast an 8 car field at each race. I think Ballard did a heck of a job with his race and would follow his rules if he would let us.

yeah well it doesn't make ANY sense to have weight requirements in an index racing class so long as the car is not butchered for lightness. Everyone is running 6.0x in the top 16 anyways. good thing is that orsca doesnt allow throttle stops or **** like that to make the car act a certain way off the line.

Where are you guys reading about the weights for an IDEX class??
There is no weights for an index class....especially in ORSCA.

Dan are you talking about making adjustments on the weights for 10.5 outlaw cars as far as 4cylinder and 6 cylinder cars go??
